The Jungle Trail (Min 3 People, max 8) From only €240pp!

Day 1
Pick-up from Medan's Polonia Airport and taken directly to Bukit Lawang where you can relax in the tranquil surroundings of the jungle. Visit the Orangutan Centre in the afternoon.
Day 2
Begin 2-day jungle trek. Get to see orangutans in their natural habitat. Stop for light lunch and continue on to camping place for the night next to the river. Relax and swim. Dinner will be prepared by the porters and a bamboo shelter erected to sleep in. Enjoy the night sounds of the jungle.
Day 3
After a hearty breakfast begin your day in the jungle. Potential to see Thomas Leaf monkeys, gibbons, long-tailed macaques and hornbills. Stop for a light lunch and continue on before making a raft and returning to Bukit Lawang on the Bohorok River; enjoying the jungle from a different aspect.
Day 4
After the exertions of the previous 2 days, take a drive to Tangkahan and relax in its beautiful surroundings. Possible activities include going to see the elephants washing in the river and taking part if you wish. Walk up river from Jungle Lodge to Butterfly Beach for a swim and continue further up river for some spectacular scenery. Opposite Jungle Lodge is a hot-spring which flows into the river; perfect for bathing in. Down river from Jungle Lodge is a beautiful waterfall where you can take a 'jungle massage'
Day 5
Half of the group (if there are more than four of you) will embark on a day's elephant trekking in the jungle, stopping off at the bat-cave and doing some river-tubing; while the rest of the group get to enjoy some more of Tangkahan.
Day 6
A repeat of Day 5
Day 7
Return to Medan. Catch up on civilisation, check those emails and charge those batteries! Visit the Grand Mosque or Maimoon Palace if you wish. Get some shopping done. Enjoy a beer and some good food.
Day 8
A car & driver will return you to the airport.

Day 1

Off to the 'Jewel of South East Asia', Lake Toba. You'll go the scenic route along the eastern shore, stopping off at Sipisopiso along the way for lunch and a quick drenching if you fancy. After reaching Parapat, you'll catch a ferry to Samosir Island and stay in at a hotel on a lazy part of the island known as Tuk Tuk.
Day 5 & 6
Now it's up to you, two days to enjoy the island and lake. Rest and relax, enjoy the scenery of Lake Toba. Possible activities include hiring bikes or motorbikes to explore the island. Visit the megalithic complex at Ambarita and admire the traditional Batak tombs. Go swimming or fishing in the warm waters of the lake. Enjoy the local cuisine.
Day 7
Return to Medan. Catch up on civilization, check those emails and charge those batteries! Visit the Grand Mosque or Maimoon Palace if you wish. Get some shopping done. Enjoy a beer and some good food.
Day 8
A car & driver will return you to the airport.

Guides
You will have at least a couple of different guides with you during your stay. There will be the English-speaking tour guide who will meet you at the airport and look after you throughout your trip. And there will also be expert guides for the jungle trekking, elephant trekking, rafting, tubing and volcano climbing.

Transport
You'll be transported to your various destinations by air-conditioned minibus with a dedicated and safe driver.

Food
Food will be provided during all of your activities, such as when jungle trekking, elephant trekking, rafting, tubing and volcano climbing. But we leave it to you to discover the delights of Sumatran cuisine in the evenings or in your free-time. There are many restaurants, cafes and hotels to choose from.
